Get Involved
Spending time building a home is a great way to volunteer. No experience is necessary. We have a project coordinator on site to show you what to do. All volunteers must be at least 15 years old and have a signed waiver. By calling the Habitat Store at 509-682-7088 you can sign up to volunteer on the current Habitat home.

Volunteer

At our store, stop in anytime during our regular hours and one of our staff would be happy to get you started on a project needed here at the store. be sure to tell us about your special skills and if that is an area you would like to support us in, (certain minors will need a waiver signed by parent or gaurdian)

If you have Community Service obligations we can help you serve those hours also.

Make a Financial Gift
Because Habitat is a non-profit, private organization, we depend on financial gifts made by individuals, organizations, churches, and businesses. Lake Chelan Valley accepts checks and money orders. You may send them to the address below or drop them off at the Habitat Thift Store. Send  checks or money orders to:

Chelan Habitat
PO Box 2639,
Chelan, WA 98816

Fundraising
If you or a group with whom you are involved is interested in supporting a fundraising event to benefit Habitat, please contact any board member by phone or through the store manager. We will be very happy to provide you with ideas, information and assistance.

Grocery Receipts

One of the easiest ways to support Habitat is through the grocery receipt program. Just save your receipts whenever you shop at Chelan IGA Market or Manson Bay Market and drop them off at the Habitat Store. There's a handy box right out front where you can insert your receipts. Volunteers sort and bundle them and the Markets donate 1% of the total receipts back to Habitat.

Board Meetings:

COVID-19 Update: The Habitat Board meets via Zoom on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Please let a board member know if you would like to join a meeting so we can introduce ourselves and get you on the agenda.

Shopping!
Yes, you can help Habitat's ministry by shopping at The Habitat Store, which sells new/used items at fantastic prices! The store is located at 518 E. Woodin Ave. in Chelan, WA. Contact the store at 509-682-7088 to donate items or volunteer in the store.

"Lift Your Hammer"
Written by Mark Tesch

"Lift your hammer to the sky, raise your hammer high.
Reach out and help your neighbor, who might be barely getting by.
Nail by nail, blow by blow, we'll get there if we try.
Reach your hammer to the sky, raise your hammer high.
Lift that wall, and lift your spirits raise the hammer high.
There's a song in the building, you can hear when you raise your hammer high.
Retirees and high school youth, all raise their hammers high'
Excitement is building, it's the truth so let's all raise our hammers high."

Lake Chelan Valley Habitat for Humanity celebrated the dedication and grand opening of their Thrift Store on Saturday, December 8th, 2007. The Habitat Thrift Store building was funded by the extremely generous donation of the late Margaret Freer. Habitat's Thrift store provides space for an extended assortment of merchandise, including clothing, furniture, books, crafts, linens, tools and appliances.

Donors are asked to call 682-7088 for further information and delivery instructions. If you're looking for a great way to serve your community, refer to our donation policy. Please give Habitat a call!
