Get Involved

Spending time building a home is a great way to volunteer. No experience is necessary. We have a project coordinator on site to show you what to do. All volunteers must be at least 15 years old and have a signed waiver. Please reach out to our office if you would like to be added to our contact list to assist on our next build.

Volunteer

At our store, stop in anytime during our regular hours to pick a volunteer application. Be sure to tell us about your special skills and if that is an area you would like to support us in, (certain minors will need a waiver signed by parent or guardian). Once completed, our volunteer coordinator will reach out to schedule a time to meet for training and to discuss schedules. Volunteers are welcome to work during any of our store open hours.

If you have Community Service obligations we can help you serve those hours also. We also welcome groups and organizations to contact to arrange a day of service.

Join the Board or a Committee
Habitat is run by a Board of Directors. There are also three operating committees: Building and Site Selection, Public Relations and Resource Development, Family Selection and Support. If you are interested in learning more about our board or interested in serving, please reach out to a board member or our Executive Director, Michelle Fanton.

The Habitat Board every 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6 p.m. Please let a board member know if you would like to join a meeting so we can introduce ourselves and get you on the agenda.

"Lift Your Hammer"
Written by Mark Tesch

"Lift your hammer to the sky, raise your hammer high.
Reach out and help your neighbor, who might be barely getting by.
Nail by nail, blow by blow, we'll get there if we try.
Reach your hammer to the sky, raise your hammer high.
Lift that wall, and lift your spirits raise the hammer high.
There's a song in the building, you can hear when you raise your hammer high.
Retirees and high school youth, all raise their hammers high'
Excitement is building, it's the truth so let's all raise our hammers high."
